Temperature Adjustment

Description

Cambrian College follows CCOHS (Candian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety) guideline for workplace temperature settings. The "Thermal Comfort for Office Work" CSA Z412-17 recommends standard for workplace temperatures:- summer: optimum temperature of 24.5°C (acceptable range of 23-26°C)- winter: optimum temperature of 22°C (acceptable range of 20-23.5°C)To report a room location with temperature outside of acceptable range, please click on the "Request Help" button.

Budget / Cost

The responsibility for repairs to the HVAC system (i.e. heating, cooling and ventilation) fall on Cambrian College's Facilities Management team. All work required to address safety issues, emergency and preventative maintenance repairs will be covered under Facilities Management operating budgets.  For larger or specialized renovations or repairs, the college's finance and internal policies will determine who is responsible for project costs.
