Outlook - How to Recall an E-mail

Open the email you wish to recall and under Actions select "Recall This Message."

Select the option that best suits your needs and click OK:

After submitting a recall request, usually less than 30 seconds later, the sender will get an email notification from the service with the subject "Message Recall Report for message [original message subject]", like this one:

Just click on the View Message Recall Report link to view the report in your browser. If you’re prompted, log in with your mailbox credentials to view the report. 

 

Due to privacy concerns this function will only work within the Organization, any externally sent emails will not work with this function. Once an email leaves the organization there is no guaranteed way to recall it.
