1. Sign into the following URL:
https://azureforeducation.microsoft.com/devtools
Use your A#@mycambrian.ca email address and password to sign in.
2. Navigate to the Software catalog.
3. Search for "project" in the search bar and click on Project 2019.
4. Click on Generate URL. You can copy and paste this link into a new browser tab. It will automatically start the download of the .ISO file for the installation. The download time will vary based on your internet connection. This could take up to ten minutes. While you're waiting, click on 'View Key' above the download link. Copy and paste this into a text file for future use in the installation.
5. Once the download is complete, you should be able to open the .ISO file directly. Navigate to your Downloads folder. This can usually be done by right clicking the file and selecting "Show in folder". Then, double click the downloaded ISO file to automatically mount it within Windows File Explorer.
6. Double click the Setup file that shows up to begin the installation.
You MAY get the below message before the install starts. Simply click "Install 64-bit" to proceed.
7. Wait for the installation to run automatically. It will take a few minutes. You might be prompted to close any open Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Please save and close any open work to proceed.
The installation will eventually finish on its own.
8. Click on your 'Start" button on the bottom, left corner of Windows and search for 'Project'. We'll need to activate the software. When you launch Project, you'll be prompted to sign in. Let's activate it by key before doing so. Click 'I don't want to sign in or create an account' at the bottom.
You can then enter the key we copied from the Azure Portal. You can go back for it any time you're a valid student.
9. Click 'Activate Office' after entering your key. Project is then licensed and ready to use! You can sign into the app with a Microsoft account now if you'd like to.
