Due to the potential sensitive nature of corporate email Cambrian College will soon be requiring that mobile devices (remember that you have to use the Outlook Mobile client) that connect to corporate email accounts are protected with a screen lock mechanism.
The minimum requirements are as follows:
- A password is required to unlock device
- Minimum password length is 4 digits
- Device will lock after 5 minutes of inactivity
If your device is already protected by a screen lock that meets or exceeds the above minimum standards (4+ digit PIN or biometric recognition), you will not be affected by this change.
If your device is not currently protected by a screen lock that meets the above minimum standards and you do not configure it prior to this requirement coming into effect, you will be prompted to setup device security before you can continue accessing your email using your mobile app as seen below.
