Authentication Failed - Edge 143+ and Chrome 142+

Symptom

Users using Banner Application Navigator in Edge 143+ and Chrome 142+:

Authentication Failed

Problem in external authentication service.

Workarounds

 Workaround #1 (using Edge and Chrome): 

  1. This check can be disabled in the browser by entering this URL in the browser: edge://flags/#local-network-access-check (Edge) / chrome://flags/#local-network-access-check (Chrome)
  2.  Select Disabled instead of Default
  3. Close the browser
  4. Reopen and now the error is gone.

 

If you get the error even after setting the flag to Disabled. Clear the Cookies and Cache from the browser.


Workaround #2: Use Firefox browser.

Solution

This issue will be addressed with the deployment of the Banner December 2025 releases which is scheduled to be deployed to in production in early January 2026.
