There are several ways to schedule a Teams Meeting. Click the accordion below to explore your options, our recommended method is using the Meet app in Teams.
From the Meet App in Teams
- Launch the Teams app on your computer.
- From the left-hand menu, select Meet.
- If you don’t have the Meet button, click the three dots at the bottom of the menu.

- Search for Meet.
- Right click the Meet icon and click Pin.

- In the top-right corner, click New Meeting.

- Enter a descriptive title.
- Enter the date and time of your first class.
- Click Does not repeat and select Weekly from the drop down menu.

- Enter the date of your last class at the bottom of the pop up window.
Click Save.
- If you are scheduling a class that occurs multiple times a week, the following steps will ensure that both sessions will use the same Meeting link:
- Click Open my calendar.

- Right-click the meeting you just create, and select Duplicate event.

- Change the date and time to match your second session.
- Make it a reoccurring meeting.
- Click Save.
- Click Save again to schedule your meeting.
- Right click the meeting and select Copy meeting link.

From the Calendar App in Teams
- Launch the Teams app on your computer.
- From the left-hand menu, select Calendar.

- In the top-right corner, click New event.

- Enter a descriptive Title.
- Toggle the Teams meeting button to on so that an online meeting link is created.
- Enter the date and time of your first class.
- Click Make recurring.

- Enter the date of your last class at the bottom of the pop up window.

- Click Save.
- If you are scheduling a class that occurs multiple times a week, the following steps will ensure that both sessions will use the same Meeting link:
- Go to your calendar, right-click the meeting you just create, and select Duplicate event.

- Change the date and time to match your second session.
- Make it a reoccurring meeting.
- Click Save.
- Click Save again to schedule your meeting.
- Right click the meeting and select Copy meeting link.

From the Outlook Calendar
- Launch the Outlook app on your computer.
- Select the Calendar icon from the navigation bar in Outlook.

- From the ribbon click Teams Meeting.

- Enter a descriptive Title.
- Add yourself as a Required attendee.

- Click Make recurring.

Set the Appointment time to the start time of your first class.

Set the Recurrence pattern to once a week and choose the day your first class takes place.

Set the Recurrence range so it starts on the date of your first class and ends on the date of your last class.

Click OK to save the settings.

Click Send to Save your meeting
- If you are scheduling a class that occurs multiple times a week, the following steps will ensure that both sessions will use the same Meeting link:
- Copy the Meeting info in the body of your appointment.
- Create a New Appointment (not a Teams meeting).

- Paste the Teams meeting info into your new appointment.
- Repeat steps 4 to 11.
- Go back into the appointment you just created and right click the Join the meeting now link.
- Click Copy Hyperlink.
