Wireless Printing: Adding Secure-Print to Your Personal Laptop - For Faculty

Getting Started

  • You must be connected to the Cambrian network via a wired connection or Cambrian Wi-Fi (not Cambrian Guest).
  • Follow the instructions below to set up printing. If you encounter any issues, contact the IT Service Desk by phone at 705-566-8101 x7370 or by logging a ticket.

Printing from a Windows Device

  1. Download and run the Mobility Print Printer Setup.
  2. On the License Agreement screen, click Next.
  3. Select a printer, then click Next.
  4. Enter your Username (e.g., firstname.lastname@cambriancollege.ca) and Password, then click Next.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Send you print job to Secure-Print.

Printing from a macOS Device

Open System Preferences > Printers and Scanners.

  1. Click the + icon under the Printers List.
  2. The Add Printer dialog will appear, displaying available network printers.
  3. Select a printer. The Name, Location, and Use fields will populate automatically.
  4. Ensure Use is set to Secure AirPrint.
  5. If Secure AirPrint is not displayed:
    • Close the Add Printer dialog.
    • Disconnect and reconnect to the Cambrian network.
    • Try again. If you still do not see Secure AirPrint, contact the IT Service Desk.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Print your document. When prompted, enter your Cambrian username and password.

Where to Pick Up Your Secure-Print Jobs

Secure-print enabled printers are available in the following rooms:

  • 1271A
  • 1714
  • 1811
  • 2166
  • 2263
  • 3130
  • 3252
  • 4071

Use your college email (or username) and password to sign into the printers to release your print job.

You can log a ticket to request a print card. The print card allows you to tap to release your print job at any secure-print enabled printer.
