DIGITAL SIGNAGE - USER INSTRUCTIONS

SCENES – are all the different “slideshows” that have been created
RESOURCES – this is where you upload any new document/file that you want to use in your slideshow
PLAYERS – this is where you can see the different players assigned to our account. We have the hallway tv and the one in the office. This is also where you go to associate your “scene” to a tv.
The rest of the tabs on the left-hand side don’t really get used much.
1. HOW TO ADD RESOURCES TO USE IN YOUR “SCENES”
- Click on “Resources” on the left-hand side
- Click on “upload” at the top of the screen
- Then you browse for your files or just drag and drop multiple resources
- Once they show up in the list, click on the blue button “upload files”
- Once uploaded, you’ll see them all show up in a row

2. HOW TO CREATE OR EDIT SCENES
Click on “scenes” on the left-hand side. A new screen will pop up where you can view the current scenes or add a new one.

TO CREATE A NEW SCENE
- Click on the blue button “create scene”
- In the drop-down menu, click on “empty scene”
- A new box will pop up, you can name your new scene ie. “Fall/Winter” or “Graduation”, etc.
- Then click on the blue button “create”
- This will open up your new blank template

CREATING YOUR PLAYLIST FOR YOUR NEW SCENE
- Your “playlist” is the collection of resources that you want to display on the tv
- Click on “apps & components” on the left-hand side
- A list of option for different items you can add into your scene will pop-up

- Click on “Playlist” and drag it over to the empty box and this will add a small square box to the main blank screen
- You click to expand that box to the entire width of the scene box, or you can add multiple “playlists” to create multiple “slideshows” on the screen ie. Say you have images that are longer vertically, and you have a bunch more horizontal you can have two different “slideshows” rotating through on the screen.

- You can also add a clock option, the weather, labels ie. Title of the centre
- You will also see a time grid show up on the bottom of the screen. This is where you will drag the “resources” that you want to include in that playlist. You can set the length of time you want that particular slide to play on the tv.
- Click on “resources” on the left-hand side. This is where you will find all the resources you’ve previously uploaded.
- Click on the resource you want to add to your playlist and drag it down into the time grid.

- You can click on that image in the time grid, and just drag it toward the right side to increase the length of time you want that image to play for
- Continue adding as many resources as you like
- You can click on the “disk” to save the scene
- You can click on the blue play button to preview your scene/slideshow
- To exit the scene once you’re done, click on the icon with the left arrow and bracket

3. TO EDIT YOUR SCENES
- Click on the scene you would like to edit.
- Click on the image to pop up the time grid bar
- Click on the time grid to remove an image or add any new ones
- Make sure you adjust the timing of the slides if necessary
4. TO SEND YOUR SCENE TO THE TV
- Once you are ready to send your scene to the tv, click on “players” on the left-hand side
- A list of the players associated to the account will pop up
- Click on the box in front of the player you want to update
- On the right-hand side you will see a a down arrow.
- Click on that and you can select which scene you would like to send to the TV
- Once you have selected the correct one, click on the white and black play button under the big white box on the right-hand side
- This will connect and sync your scene to the TV
- Update as many TVs as needed. You can run different scenes on different TVs
