Overview
Generally, most technology tools and services are available globally. There are, however, some nations that block traffic to and from specific services, and the United States maintains sanctions against certain countries that prohibit network communications. The U.S. Department of the Treasury maintains information about sanctions at the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
There are many reasons for service unavailability- Current political conditions, No support from third party vendor etc.

Microsoft 365
At Cambrian, we use Microsoft 365 for our staff and students. Microsoft 365 license is available to a user residing anywhere in the world, except for Cuba, Iran, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Sudan, and Syria.
Availability is limited in China as well.

Zoom
Users in the following countries or regions are unable to access Zoom for regulatory reasons. Also, Zoom instance would be unavailable in countries restricted by Microsoft if it is using M365 identity services.
- Cuba: For regulatory reasons, users in this country are currently unable to access Zoom services.
- Iran: For regulatory reasons, users in this country are currently unable to access Zoom services.
- North Korea: For regulatory reasons, users in this country are currently unable to access Zoom services.
- Syria: For regulatory reasons, users in this country are currently unable to access Zoom services.
- Ukraine (Crimea, Luhansk, Donetsk regions): For regulatory reasons, users in these regions are currently unable to access Zoom services.

Moodle
Currently there are no restrictions on accessing Moodle from outside Canada. However depending on the countries' restrictions, there might be challenges related to blocked content, speed and connectivity of Internet.
