How to Install Grammarly Premium

Grammarly is an online tool that automatically checks your writing to suggest grammar, spelling, tone and style changes. Grammarly Premium is available for Cambrian faculty and students.

1. Go to https://office.com and click ‘Sign in’.

2. Sign in using your Cambrian email address and password. 
   Your email should end in “@cambriancollege.ca” or “@mycambrian.ca”. 
   The password is the same one used to log into Cambrian computers.

3. Click the app launcher at the top-left of the screen to see all apps. 
   It appears as nine dots in a grid format:

   

4. Find and click on Grammarly.
   If you do not see Grammarly listed, click ‘All apps’ and scroll down to the ‘Other’ category.

5. From the Grammarly menu, click ‘Apps’.  

6. Click ‘Install’ next to the app you wish to download and follow the instructions. 
   You will not require administrator privileges for your computer, but you will have to close Word, Outlook, Chrome, etc. before using Grammarly.

Important Note: If you have previously installed a free Grammarly account, you must log out and sign in with your Cambrian email to access the licensed version of Grammarly.

For Grammarly accounts using a non-Cambrian email address:

1. In Word or Outlook, Click Grammarly on the top ribbon, then click ‘Log Out’.

2. ​From the same menu, click ‘Log In’ and use your Cambrian email as your login to access Grammarly premium.

For prior Grammarly accounts using a Cambrian email address:

1. In Word or Outlook, Click Grammarly on the top ribbon, then click ‘Settings’.

2. Click ‘Profile Settings’.

3. At the bottom of the page, click ‘Delete Account’ and follow the steps to delete your previous Grammarly account.

4. Log into Office.com and re-start the sign-in process at the top of this document.
