All of these instructions assume your voicemail service has been migrated to Cloud Voicemail and you have the Skype for Business client installed and running on your workstation.
How to Check Cloud Voicemail from your Skype for Business Client
- Click on the Dial Pad in Skype for Business:
- Click on the Voice Mail button and select “Call Voice Mail”:
- Your Skype for Business will call the Cloud Voicemail system, follow the prompts to listen to voice mail.
How to Change Voice Mail Greeting from your Skype for Business Client
- Click on the Dial Pad in Skype for Business
- Click on the Voice Mail button and select "Change Greetings"
- Your Skype for Business will call the Cloud Voicemail system, follow the prompts to change your greeting.
Shared Mailboxes
Shared mailboxes currently do not use Cloud Voice Mail so we can support multiple users accessing the same mailbox. You can continue to call x6009 and follow the prompts for shared Voice mailboxes only.
OPTIONAL ADVANCED FEATURES
Call Answer Rules, Text-to-Speech greetings, Out of Office greetings
- Click on the Dial Pad in Skype for Business
- Click on the Voice Mail button and select "Set Up Voice Mail"
- A new tab in your default browser will be opened. Pick the "Voicemail" option on the page:
**If the page does not load properly (some versions of chrome) you can copy & paste the URL https://mysettings.lync.com/voicemail into Firefox.
- Use the appropriate menu to change what you need to including: Call Answer Rules, Out of Office, and Text to Speech options.
